Late Ar Thomas P John founded Thomas Associates in 2011 after two decades of government service , during his term he played an active role in shaping prime administrative buildings. He actively participated in relief works post the devastating 2004 Tsunami. His works showcase a pragmatic approach towards design his stark consideration of materials based on local context and climate made his works sustainable and practical. With more than 300 projects dealt in his lifetime the firm evolves as a major contributor towards the cityscape.

After his sad demise the studio is headed over by his son Ar. Steve Thomas.
